I’ve worked out the mark up % = 37.5% But now do i take 37.5% off the total budgeted purchases amount and then work out the credit and sale purchases amount and then divide by 3 to get Aug-Sept purch amount.

Please help i am a bit confused. Also what about Sales

The budgeted cash related transactions for Aug – Oct 2011 are as follows
Budgeted sales amount to R750 000 ( 45% will be sold during Aug 2011, 30% during Sept and 25% during Oct. 60% of the sales are expected to be made on credit. Debtors usually pay their debt
50% in the month following the month of sales
25% in the second month following the month of the sales
10% in the third month following the sales
Purchases for Aug – Oct is expected to amount to 468 750. Assume that opening and closing inventories are maintained at the same level (rand value) and that a constant mark up percentage is maintained throughout. 60% of all purchass are made on credit while creditors are paid in the month following the month in which the purchases were made
