Create a short semi-structured interview guide around your topic/issue you would use to talk in-depth with people who are part of the proposed study’s sample. These questions should work together to get at both broad and specific information around the topic/issue.
You must develop 8 questions you would ask a respondent. The first four questions may ask broadly on an aspect of the topic/issue, while the other questions will ask for more specific information around the topic/issue.
Each question should include a 1-2 sentence explanation of why you selected the question and what you hope to get from it.

Whereas survey questions can help provide tentative answers to research questions, interviews can provide more of the “how” and “why” around a topic or issue grounded in people’s everyday lives.
